ARRIVAL

Arrival in Lisbon and private transfer to a 4* hotel located in the city center. Afternoon free for individual visit. Overnight stay.

Fado is a genre of popular music typically Portuguese cities of Lisbon and since 2011 recognized by UNESCO as intangible heritage of humanity. The name comes from the Latin fatum (destiny) as it is inspired by the typical Portuguese sentiment of saudade and tells about emigration, remoteness, separation, pain, suffering. Price: starting from 40€ per person.

LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide and visit to the city center (tour by foot or public transportation).

You will visit the Bairro Alto, where the Igreja Sao Roque is located, whose interiors are in marble gold and Florentine azulejos. Crossing Placa Rossio, we will arrive at Rua Augusta, where we will climb the Elevador Santa Justa from which you can enjoy a splendid view of Lisbon (ticket to buy on the spot). The elevador Santa Justa will take us to Largo do Carmo, where is located Convento do Carmo, that collapsed during the earthquake of 1755, its ruins, never restored, have made it become an archaeological museum. Our walking tour will end in the Alfama district, the oldest district of Lisbon with a breathtaking view, known for the fado houses and folk festivals dedicated to patron saints, especially in Sant’Antonio.

Free time for lunch. Afternoon at disposal.

Optional non included: Belém distric guided tour

In the afternoon you will visit the Belém district, with its wide views of the river and the monuments that make Lisbon famous, one of the most famous is certainly the Tower of Belém (from the outside). Walking along the riverfront we will arrive at the Padrao dos Descobrimientos, a limestone colossus that depicts various Portuguese characters, including the explorer Vasco De Gama.

SINTRA

Breakfast, meeting with the guide in the reception and transfer to Sintra.

You will visit the famous Palacio Nacional de Sintra (entrance ticket included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a white palace located in the heart of Sintra and known for being the most inhabited royal residence. After the guided tour, you will continue to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent with a breathtaking ocean view. We will end the visit with a stop at Cascais, one of the main tourist destinations in Portugal.

Return to Lisbon, overnight stay.

TO PORTO

Breakfast at the hotel, check-out. Individual transfer to the train station. Train transfer to Porto. Accommodation in Hotel  4*  in the city center. Afternoon free for individual visit. Overnight stay.

PORTO

Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide in the reception and start the walking tour of Porto.

You will discover the top attractions and most emblematic neighborhoods of Porto: the Clerigos

Church and its beautiful Bell Tower, the highest in Portugal, from which you can admire great panoramic views of the city from its observation deck; the San Bento railway station, famous for being decorated with over 20,000 tiles that narrate the history of Portugal. You will explore Batalha neighbourhood and visit the striking “Sé do Porto”, the Porto Cathedral. The best of the tour is saved till last when you will stroll along the banks of the river and marvel at its colorful houses.

Free time for lunch. Afternoon, meeting with the driver and transfer to a local winery for a Porto tasting.

Here, you will learn about the history of the cellar, the production process of Port wine, enjoy a premium wine tasting with chocolate pairings.
Transfer to the hotel and overnight.

DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Meeting with the driver and transfer to the airport 3 hours before your flight.
